Amazing Updates on the Way for the Ford Explorer

Just last month, Ford gave enthusiasts a sneak peek at what the Ford Explorer that’s going to be hitting the market soon would somewhat be like; however, the Chinese arm of the American company has released some incredible images just ahead of the vehicle’s official reveal! We finally have a little more insight as to what we can truly expect from the range of vehicles when they’re brought to the U.S.
The Visual Changes
Let’s delve into some of the aesthetic changes that Ford has made to the Explorer and see just how stunning they are! The front of the vehicle has been given a more commanding grille design with an even more impressive pair of headlights that are connected by a bar that runs just beneath the hood of the car. Its presence is further elevated by the increased font size of the Explorer badge that is bound to the hood. An even more luxurious feel is given by the existing alloy wheel design and black gloss finish on the roof and side mirrors for the trim painted in Ford’s Star White shade. They’ve also added a satin silver anti-scuff plate fitted to the lower part of the bumper with dynamic air vents on either side, giving it an element of ruggedness that fans of the Explorer know and love.
The rear end of the vehicle has also received an upgrade, with the tail light cluster having been increased to take up more space on the tailgate. An increase in the use of chrome has been added to a strip that runs just beneath the badge. The lettering for the Explorer has also now been given a set of bold individual chrome badges, giving it a sleeker look. A black anti-scuff plate also compliments the larger rhombus exhaust pipes that come in a satin silver cluster.
The HUGE Update
The update on this beloved vehicle, according to Ford China, is to truly focus on the enhancement of the digital experience and its intelligent driving systems. The cabin will now feature a large 4K resolution infotainment system that spans from the center section of the dashboard to a portion of the passenger seat. While the steering wheel, digital instrument cluster, and a few other interior components seem to remain unchanged, we can look forward to a few more upgrades aside from the incredible new entertainment system. Ford has added roller shutters to the cup holder and a storage tray in the center console for some extra storage with a bit more room! They’ve also redesigned the central air vents and climate controls to nestle a bit lower on the dash as it now is aligned with the repositioned ignition button.
