EPA Range Estimates for the Electric Ford F-150 Lightning are Finally Here!

The long wait is over! Ford’s CEO Jim Farley has finally revealed the EPA range estimates for the electric Ford F-150 Lightning with the deliveries of this vehicle set to begin this summer. The estimates were released just a few days ago via Jim Farley’s Twitter, giving us the information we needed to know about trims and miles. As we begin to head into those months, we have a lot to look forward to with the F-150 Lightning heading our way to make a complete splash with customers who have been eagerly waiting for it!
The wait is over
With Jim Farley’s tweet about the Ford F-150 Lightning’s EPA, we finally know what that mileage looks like and what trims will come with what range. According to the tweet he released this past week on March 21, 2022; The electric Ford F-150 Lightning will feature the XLT, Lariat, and Pro trims with 320 miles (these vehicles will have the extended range feature). The Platinum trim will come with 300 miles, and the Standard version of the Pro, XLT, and Lariat trims will come with 230 miles. Jim Farley said this about the EPA range and the Ford F-150 Lightning in his tweet “That’s 20 more miles than our initial target for ER. Congrats to @Ford engineers who keep making #F150Lightning even better”! It’s clear to see that Ford took great care in making sure their Electric Truck would be the best it could be for its customers who have been eagerly anticipating the Ford F-150 Lightning’s arrival.
We can expect the cost for the Ford F-150 Lightning’s different trims to match up with some of the other brands. The starting prices including the Extended range trims would be around $54,669 (Plus Destination Fee) to about $ 92,569 (Plus Destination Fee). However, the Pro trim is starting at $41,669 (Plus Destination Fee), which is significantly cheaper than some of the other brands with similar vehicles and EPA ranges.
Features to be excited about
The Ford F-150 truly is one of America’s favorite trucks, and the electrification of this vehicle is something that long-time fans can be excited about. The truck’s EV model will be capable of towing up to 10,000 pounds for those who truly love the strength of the vehicle and the strength behind the brand’s name. The standard trims will provide drivers with 426 HP, and the Extended Range Trims will provide a whopping 563 HP for those wanting more power. Drivers can continue to experience the truck they love, now electrified, with a few modifications to make the driving experience that much better. Some of the new features will include the extra-large infotainment display, the voluminous front-trunk cargo bay, and all of the safe driving features today’s drivers have come to love and expect in vehicles.
