Ford BlueCruise Gets an Update!

Ford’s BlueCruise is quickly taking over North America with the Mustang Mach-E, the F-150, and other Ford vehicle customers stockpiling 10.6 million miles of hands-free highway driving since its initial launch back in July of 2021. Ford has since updated the BlueCruise software through Ford Power-Up to bring it to even more customers who purchased this technology before it ever launched. About 15,000 of the 2021 F-150 and Mustang Mach-E customers have been able to complete the BlueCruise Updates and another 35,000 are currently in the process! Once this is all completed, 66,500 customers will have the pleasure of happily enjoying hands-free highway driving and it’s all thanks to Ford!

CEO Jim Farley had this to share so far about the updates “We are rapidly increasing the number of digital vehicles on the road with new services that create ‘always-on’ customer relationships with great software experiences. BlueCruise is a great example as customers have driven more than 10 million miles hands-free in just one year since we launched the capability and delivered it with a Ford Power-Up software update.” Ford has been able to use anonymized data insights that their customers consent to share to make BlueCruise even better than it already is. This is what shows off how the automaker’s first year of software updates on the BlueCruise has done to improve many of the computer-controlled vehicle systems to consistently make their vehicles better while also further developing relationships with their customers.

At present, the BlueCruise hands-free highway driving is propelling forwards as customers more than doubled mileage from the previous month (from 4.5 million miles to 10.6 million miles). Recent data has also shown that customers are frequently driving hands-free through certain cities like Cape Canaveral and Ft. Lauderdale, Dallas and Houston, and Salt Lake City and Las Vegas, for example. This BlueCruise update really amplifies a series of new features and enhancements such as Mustang Mach-E games, EV charging/driving upgrades, and even F-150 productivity features! Ford has really outdone itself within the first year of the launch of this technology and we certainly can’t wait to see what else it will bring.
