Ford Unveils the 2023 Ford Escape

Ford officially announced the refreshed Escape would be offered in two hybrid configurations alongside the new, sporty ST-Line trims. It is more sleek, modern, and intelligent than ever before; and will start making its way to dealerships early next year! Ford decided to take the route that would integrate sleek aesthetics and modern efficiency for the 2023 model year Escape. Both the interior and exterior of the vehicle received a gorgeous makeover along with updates to its technology and safety features for the most comfortable experience ever. Buyers can choose from the EcoBoost and plug-in hybrid powertrain options that bring an EPA-estimated range of at least 400 miles per tank. Let’s dive into the 2023 Escape and what it offers!

The Lineup
The 2023 Ford Escape will include five different trims:

• The Base
• The ST-Line
• The Escape Active
• The Platinum
• The Plug-in Hybrid

The Base and Active trims will offer buyers a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine with either front- or available all-wheel drive. The Platinum trim will provide buyers with their choice of either all-wheel drive or a hybrid powertrain option with front-wheel or all-wheel drive. The ST-Line offers a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine with 180 horsepower and either front-wheel drive, all-wheel drive, or the available hybrid option with front-wheel drive. Both the ST-Line Select and ST-Line Elite will offer buyers the available 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine with 250 horsepower paired with either standard all-wheel or the available hybrid option. 

The ST-Line Specs/Highlights

• Three models will be offered for the ST-Line, each bringing its own aesthetic and technological differences. 
• A series-specific black mesh grille.
• A monochromatically painted exterior surface.
• A large single-wing rear spoiler.
• A unique rear skid plate.
• 18-inch Rock Metallic painted aluminum wheels
  • 19-inch Machine-Faced Ebony Painted aluminum wheels are optional but come standard on the ST-Line Elite.
• Dark Ebony materials highlighted with red stitching on:
  • Seat Trim
  • Steering Wheel
  • Door Panels
  • Floor Mats
  • Center Armrest
• Flat-Bottom Steering wheel.

Technology and Safety

• SYNC 4 connection (for navigation and standard WIRELESS Apple CarPlay and Android Auto). 
• Built-in Alexa capabilities
• Driver Assist Tech:
  • Intelligent adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go.
  • A 360-degree camera.
  • Predictive speed assist.
  • Rear parking sensors.
  • Rear cross-traffic braking.
  • Connected built-in navigation.
  • Reverse brake assist.
  • Connected built-in navigation.
  • Evasive steering assist.

The Hybrids

Buyers will be able to choose between two options when it comes to hybrid models. They can select the full hybrid model or the plug-in hybrid model. It will offer four different EV driving options:

• Auto EV mode.
• EV Now mode.
• EV Later mode.
• EV Charge mode.

The 2023 Ford Escape is being assembled at the Louisville Assembly Plant in Kentucky and is available to be ordered now, reaching a dealership near you in early 2023!
