New Ford Vehicles See Quicker Development!

In an interview with Ford Authority, Aerie Groeneveld, chief engineer of the Ford Bronco Raptor had this to say about these advancements “ I think overall the formula on how you get from point A to point B has evolved and become more efficient. The specific mechanics of getting from point A to point B, I don’t know if I can clearly show that. There are lots of moving or static parts to that whole plan, but overall I’ve noticed that our ability to get products through our development cycle has become more efficient.” 

This statement made by Groeneveld fortifies the recent steps Ford has made when it comes to the new development of their vehicle programs. One of the steps that Ford has taken involves the use of video game technology to help aid the production of new Ford products, as well as to communicate with customers throughout the process. An example of this is when Ford hosted a virtual clinic to find out if potential buyers would be more inclined in pressing an automated parking button once or if it was more comfortable to press it and hold it down. Ford has also made organizational changes in its operations to help speed up the process of future Ford vehicle developments by discontinuing the time-consuming meetings to help aid in making the 2022 Ford Maverick a reality within a shorter and quicker time frame, as well as opting for smaller product development teams. These changes will definitely make the process more efficient and productive for Ford so enthusiasts are able to see product development much earlier than expected.
