Remarkable Ford F-150 Lightning Updates

The Ford F-150 Lightning has been taking over the nation as it’s made it into the homes of its very first customers! Now that the Lightning has finally reached the homes of customers spanning across all 50 states, each owner of the Lightning has said they are more than satisfied with their vehicle! Thanks to this success, Ford is now re-opening order banks for the next wave of reservation holders on Thursday, August 11th, 2022. This new order bank will include upgrades to the standard range battery models to an EPA-estimated targeted range of 240 miles, and will also add Pro Trailer Hitch Assist technology!
The Pro Trailer Hitch Assist is an industry first that automatically controls steerings, throttle, and brake inputs to make hitching trailers much easier. This feature is standard on the Tow Technology Package and is available on the Pro, XLT, and Lariat trims, but comes standard on certain Lariat trims and the Platinum trim. On the Pro, XLT, and Lariat trims built with the standard battery range of 230 miles, an update to target and EPA-estimated range of 240 miles!
Updates to Look Into
Some new updates to look forward to also include two new colors being added to the already 10 available options. The colors will be Avalanche Gray and Azure Gray Metallic Tri-Coat, which will replace Atlas Blue, Ice Blue Silver, and Smoked Quartz Metallic (which will not be available for models being built this Fall). For fleet buyers of the F-150 Lightning Pro models, a new Ford Pro Special Service Vehicle Package is now available, as well as other plenty of useful updates!
Ford will also be adjusting the MSRP on the F1-50 Lightning for the very first time since its debut back in May of 2021, and the company has honored the current MSRP for all customer orders to date. The reason for this adjustment is the material cost increases and other factors that are going to be a part of the next wave of the F-150 Lightning orders. Marin Gjaja, chief customer officer, Model e had this to say about the next wave of orders being opened “Current order holders awaiting delivery are not impacted by these price adjustments. We’ve announced pricing ahead of re-opening order banks so our reservation holders can make an informed decision around ordering a Lightning.” This gives previous reservation holders who elected to extend their reservation because their vehicle specification was unavailable the opportunity to take a private offer to use in the upcoming order waves.
The all-electric Ford F-150 Lightning is the best-selling truck that America has had within the last 45 years, following its official launch back in April this year! The first customer deliveries took place in May 2022, with a whopping 4,400 pickup trucks sold year to date.
