Ford’s Digital Rearview Mirror Provides Better Safety on the Road

Ford is doing what it can to easily see from the 2023 Transit and E-Transit by offering its all-new Digital Rearview Mirror. The product incorporates a rearview camera and a high-definition mirror monitor. The screen exhibits a panoramic view of what is behind the van, allowing the driver to identify pedestrians, vehicles, bicyclists, and other obstacles without issues. 

Huge, boxy vans, for example, tend to have large blind spots, particularly iterations with no windows in the bulkhead or the rear cargo doors. The Digital Rearview Mirror provides drivers with an unlimited view of what is behind the bulky van. It is also spectacular for vans with windows that might carry plenty of passengers or cargo, which could impede a driver’s ability to spot what is behind them. The new camera system is available in both the Transit, powered by an internal combustion engine, and the electric E-Transit, which have demonstrated to be pivotal products for Ford Pro, the manufacturer’s commercial vehicles business. That being said, the Blue Oval organized Ford Pro as a wholly distinct unit within Ford in the 2021 model year to better accomplish the goal of serving the needs of commercial customers. Ford’s Electrification Future
